Happy Friday All!

Just an fyi that I am open Saturday the 23rd from 10-5. Next week Wednesday I'm open 1-8 pm and Thursday - Saturday 10-5

I will be closed August 1-10 but available by appointment if you're looking to stop by.

After that point, I will see where I am at with the shop and inventory.

My lease is up at the end of September so I will have a better idea what my last day is after I open again on the 11th of August.

I have some exciting and maybe even a little surprising news.

For the last year or so my husband and I have been helping my family in taking care of my maternal grandmother. In that time, we have been offered the house so that we could continue to care for grandma and ideally start a family of our own. That happens to be in the Door County peninsula, where we both grew up.

So it is with heavy heart that I share with you that The Gift Itself will be closing when my lease is up at the end of September and we will be moving away from Green Bay. I will be having a Christmas in July sale to sell off my inventory, displays, tools, equipment, etc., starting July 1st. The last two months between the end of July and September will be used to move any inventory or displays I may still have on hand and or to finish off any jewelry repairs or customs.

I will continue jewelry production under my new business name, Door County Jeweler, having collections available online and retail shops and galleries in the local area. I will also be available for repairs and custom consultations by appointment in my home studio.

Way back when in 2011 when I was first offered The Gift Itself, I had no idea what a rewarding and educational experience it would be. You all showed me support and your trust was more than I expected. Not only did you support me and my career, but also my staff, their families and so many artisans from across the country. It is because of all of you that I get to call the last decade, and beyond, of my life a “cherished success”.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I’ll be happy to go over any specifics if you’d like.
